CVE-2020-9369Network attack vector

Denial of service via malformed web parameters

Published Feb 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Resource consumption in the Sympa web interface 6.2.38 through 6.2.52 allows remote attackers to cause denial of service via malformed parameters. The web interface accepts malformed request parameters and a tampered CSRF token, leaving junk in its temporary-file directory and generating excessive listmaster notifications. Unauthenticated network access to the web interface is sufficient; repeated requests can fill the disk or flood listmasters with messages.
