Script execution via unsanitized Web Client parameters
Published Mar 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Marketplace Expert SL Subversion ALM before 8.8.2 allows remote attackers to run script through crafted URLs. The built-in Web Client passes unsanitized URL parameters into internal-error message dialogs that the browser renders as executable markup. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted link; the script then runs in that user's Jira browser context, enabling page-data access and actions with that session.
