Authenticated SQL injection via SNMP alert settings
Published Feb 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Red Gate SQL Monitor 9.0.13 through 9.2.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL via SNMP alert settings. The SNMP alert-settings handler accepts administrator-controlled content and executes it in the SQL Monitor data repository without adequate query separation. Only logged-in administrators can reach the setting; crafted input can manipulate or delete repository data, while monitored servers and databases remain unaffected.
