Out-of-bounds read in ProFTPD 1.3.7 mod_cap allows remote authenticated users to trigger a process-memory over-read during login. The cap_to_text function passes capability number 37 to getstateflags, whose inheritable-set lookup selects array block 1 beyond the caps structure. Published reproduction requires a valid FTP login and demonstrates an AddressSanitizer-detected server crash, while the NVD assessment records confidentiality impact only.
