Authorization bypass in Huawei EMUI and Magic UI releases allows local users to insert or delete SMS messages through telephony apps. The telephony app interface trusts specific package names without adequately validating the calling app, allowing unapproved apps to pass its trustlist check. Exploitation requires a locally installed app with a matching package name and affects EMUI 10.0.0, 10.1.0, 10.1.1, and 11.0.0 and Magic UI 3.0.0, 3.1.0, 3.1.1, and 4.0.0; the reported consequence is limited to SMS insertion and deletion.
