CVE-2020-9081

Physical app-lock bypass

Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 27, 2024

Improper authorization in affected Huawei smartphones allows physically proximate attackers to bypass app lock in a specific mode. Huawei has not published the authorization locus or the sequence of operations that improperly permits access to locked applications. Exploitation requires physical access to a device in the required mode; the documented consequence is app-lock bypass, not device-wide authentication bypass.
