Improper privilege management in Huawei Mate 20 Pro and nova 5i firmware allows local users to gain privileges through crafted input. Huawei has not published the affected firmware component or the incorrect privilege operation performed on that input. Exploitation requires authenticated local system access and results in privilege escalation on the handset.
