Service interruption via crafted-message out-of-bounds read
Published Jun 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Huawei AR120-S V200R007C00SPC900 and V200R007C00SPCa00 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The message parser reads several bytes beyond the intended buffer after receiving a crafted message. Exploitation requires an authenticated connection to the device, and the reported consequence is abnormal service rather than data access or modification.
