Service interruption via malformed Z-Wave command frames
Published Jan 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Denial of service in listed Silicon Labs 500-series Z-Wave S2 devices allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt network control. The protocol stack processes malformed SECURITY NONCE GET, SECURITY NONCE GET 2, NO OPERATION, or NIF REQUEST frames until resources are exhausted. Z-Wave radio proximity and no authentication are required; sustained disruption blocks device communications without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
