CVE-2020-9050Network attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via unrestricted path traversal

Published Feb 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Path traversal in Johnson Controls Metasys Reporting Engine Web Services 2.0 and 2.1 allows remote attackers to download arbitrary files. The web services fail to restrict attacker-controlled pathname elements to the intended directory, but the affected endpoint and path operation are undisclosed. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented consequence is file disclosure, with no reported file modification or service interruption.
