Unauthenticated administrative access via projector REST endpoint
Published Feb 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Incorrect permissions in Couchbase Server allow remote attackers to access projector and indexer administrative REST APIs without authentication. The projector process exposed /settings without an authentication check, permitting configuration changes and performance-profile collection. Network reachability to an affected service is sufficient, and the consequence is bounded to unauthorized use of the exposed administrative APIs.
