File access via authlog.php path traversal
Published Feb 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Symmetricom SyncServer S100, S200, S250, S300, and S350 allows remote attackers to access files through authlog.php. The endpoint uses the attacker-controlled FileName parameter without confining the resolved path to the intended authentication-log directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful network requests can expose or modify files while leaving service availability unaffected.
