Cross-site scripting via ViewPage.cgi user parameter
Published Feb 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Xirrus XR520, XR620, XR2436, and XH2-120 devices allows remote attackers to run script via a crafted request. The cgi-bin/ViewPage.cgi handler places its untrusted user parameter into a generated page without neutralizing executable browser content. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs script in the victim's browser context, permitting limited data access or page modification.
