Self-XSS via executable new-topic title
Published Feb 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Self-XSS in Codologic Codoforum 4.8.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in their own browser via a crafted topic title. The new-topic title field accepts an SVG onload payload and renders it as executable markup when the page is refreshed. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to create and revisit the topic, so the demonstrated payload executes only in that same user's browser.
