Remote code execution via unbounded password copy

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-842 Rev C firmware 3.13B09 HOTFIX allows remote attackers to execute code via an HTTP POST. The /usr/sbin/mtfwu handler copies the attacker-controlled LOGINPASSWORD parameter with strcpy into a fixed-size stack buffer without bounds checking. No authentication or user interaction is required; an oversized parameter crashes the management service and permits arbitrary code execution.
