Unauthenticated account access via LDAP login bypass

Authentication bypass in OpenVPN Access Server 2.8.0 allows remote attackers to access LDAP-backed accounts without successful authentication. OpenVPN reproduced the flaw in the LDAP login process but has not disclosed which component accepts or mishandles the authentication result. LDAP authentication must be configured, and accounts enrolled in two-factor authentication remain protected.
