Reflected XSS via unescaped Galaxy search URI
Published Feb 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in the MISP Galaxy view before 2.4.121 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted search value. The view appends the search value to a Galaxy-cluster URI and embeds that URI directly in JavaScript without HTML escaping. The Galaxy view must process the attacker-controlled search path, and script execution is confined to the browser context rendering the response.
