Unauthenticated data disclosure via blank-password comparison
Published Mar 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Authentication bypass in the ShipStation.com plugin 1.0 for CS-Cart allows remote attackers to read customer and order data via export requests. In shipstation.php, a misspelled password registry key returns NULL, while the access test rejects requests only when both supplied credentials differ. An unauthenticated request with a blank password therefore reaches action=export and discloses customer and purchase records for a chosen date range.
