Code execution via TIF object use-after-free
Published Mar 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in TIF processing in Foxit Software Foxit Studio Photo 3.6.6.916 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted files. The TIF parser performs operations on an object without first validating that it still exists, allowing freed memory to be reused during parsing. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious TIF file, and code runs in the current process.
