CVE-2020-8878

Code execution via PSD ChannelID integer underflow

Published Mar 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Out-of-bounds write in PSD parsing in Foxit Studio Photo 3.6.6.916 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted PSD file. The readChannelImageData function accepts a Layer Record ChannelID that can cause an integer underflow and a write beyond the allocated structure. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs in the current process context.
