Root code execution via incorrect password comparison

Authentication bypass in D-Link DAP-2610 firmware 2.01RC067 and earlier allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to execute code as root. The router login handler incorrectly compares supplied passwords instead of properly validating them, allowing authentication to be bypassed. No credentials or user interaction are required, but the attacker must reach the device from an adjacent network; successful exploitation grants root-level command execution.
