Session compromise via stored device-name script
Published Feb 19, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Hitron CODA-4582U 7.1.1.30 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The Add Managed Device form accepts and stores a crafted device name, and the Manage view later renders that value as executable markup. Exploitation requires management access to save the name and a user to open Manage, after which the script can access data and perform actions permitted by the victim's router session.
