Consensus validation in Electric Coin Company Zcashd before 2.1.1-1 allows remote attackers to reject a valid chain and enable double spending. Block-header timestamp enforcement uses subjective network-time information, causing an isolated node to permanently reject an otherwise valid chain. Exploitation requires partial network isolation and can deceive a miner or pool into following an attacker-controlled chain view, enabling double spending.
