Stored XSS via unsanitized uploaded document
Published Mar 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Alfresco Enterprise before 5.2.7 and Community before 6.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via uploaded documents. The document-upload handling stores attacker-controlled content without adequate neutralization, so rendering the document in a project executes the injected script in a viewer's browser. Project write access is required, and successful exploitation can read or alter data available to the victim's session without affecting service availability.
