Browser script execution via ActionStringID reflection
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Pega Platform before 8.2.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through ActionStringID. The public advisory identifies ActionStringID as the affected function but does not disclose the reflection path or missing encoding operation. Exploitation requires a user to load an attacker-crafted request; script then runs in the Pega origin and can access or alter browser-visible data.
