Administrator login via unchecked add-site actions
Published Feb 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in InfiniteWP Client before 1.9.4.5 allows remote attackers to access a WordPress administrator account. The iwp_mmb_set_request function accepts Base64-encoded JSON for add_site or readd_site and logs in the supplied username without an authorization or password check. Exploitation requires knowledge of an administrator username and grants that account's privileges, enabling complete control of the affected WordPress site.
