CVE-2020-8674Network attack vector

Network memory disclosure via DHCPv6 buffer over-read

Published Jun 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Intel AMT and ISM before 11.8.77, 11.12.77, 11.22.77, 12.0.64, or 14.0.33 allows remote attackers to read memory. The DHCPv6 subsystem reads beyond the intended buffer while processing network input, but Intel has not disclosed the triggering DHCPv6 message or field. No authentication is required, but Intel's assessment requires user interaction and limits the reported consequence to confidentiality loss without integrity or availability impact.
