Admin token disclosure via hard-coded API key
Published Feb 6, 2020 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Use of hard-coded credentials in EyesOfNetwork 5.3 allows remote attackers to obtain the administrator access token through the EONAPI. The EONAPI_KEY constant in include/api_functions.php is identical across installations for API version 2.4.2, allowing token calculation or guessing. No authentication or user interaction is required; a successful request can expose administrative API access and permit privileged data or object operations.
