Arbitrary SQL execution via unsanitized node identifier
Published Apr 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in TestLink 1.9.20 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands through node_id in dragdroptreenodes.php. The tree::change_parent method inserted node_id directly into an UPDATE statement's WHERE clause without numeric validation or parameter binding. The endpoint requires no authentication or user interaction, and successful injection can read, write, or delete data permitted to the application's database account.
