Unauthenticated SYSTEM code execution via service DLL traversal
Published Mar 18, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Remote code execution in Apex One 2019, OfficeScan XG, and Worry-Free Business Security 9.0 through 10.0 grants remote attackers SYSTEM privileges. The CNA classifies the service DLL flaw as directory traversal, but Trend Micro does not disclose the DLL, entry point, or unsafe path-handling operation. No authentication or user interaction is required; the attacker needs network access to the affected Windows server, and successful execution runs as SYSTEM.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
