Administrative access via static servlet access key
Published Feb 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper authentication in eG Manager 7.1.2 allows remote attackers to obtain administrative access through a crafted login request. The com.egurkha.EgLoginServlet endpoint accepts a static access key with an administrator username and empty password, then retrieves the stored password instead of requiring authentication. Network access to the management interface is sufficient; command execution follows only when the manager's command-execution feature is enabled.
