CVE-2020-8589

Cross-tenant SVM and filename disclosure

Published Feb 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in NetApp ONTAP before 9.3P20 and 9.5P15 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate other SVMs and filenames. NetApp has not published the affected interface, request, or authorization operation that permits cross-tenant name enumeration. A tenant account with adjacent-network reach to an affected cluster is required; exposure is limited to SVM and filename metadata, with no reported file-content access or modification.
