Path traversal in Kubernetes Java Client before 9.0.2 or 10.0.1 allows remote attackers to overwrite files via malicious pod archives. Copy.java extracts tar entries from a remote pod without constraining entry paths to the requested destination, allowing traversal outside the current directory. Exploitation requires an application to use Copy against an untrusted pod, and impact is limited to files writable by the client process.
