SSRF in affected Kubernetes kube-controller-manager releases allows remote authenticated users to read up to 500 bytes from internal endpoints. The GlusterFS, Quobyte, StorageOS, and ScaleIO volume clients request a user-supplied URL and propagate returned content through detailed errors into cluster events. Exploitation requires permission to create a pod with an affected volume type or create a StorageClass, plus an unprotected endpoint reachable from the control-plane host network.
