Stored XSS in GistPress before 3.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted shortcode id. The standardize_attributes method accepted the gist shortcode id without removing nonalphanumeric characters before using it in generated output. Contributor access is required, and execution occurs with the privileges of a user who views the resulting content, including publishers.
