Runtime-data tampering via weak IPC object access controls

IPC access-control weakness in ABB OPC Server and MMS Server for AC 800M and Base Software before 6.1.1 allows local users to alter runtime data. Weak access-control settings on same-machine objects used by System 800xA processes permit a crafted local application to inject garbage or specially crafted IPC data. An authenticated user must log on to a system node and execute that application; injected data can falsify Control Builder's online runtime view, and affected processes can crash or lose communication.
