Remote code execution via ABBTracerLib input validation
Published Apr 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in ABB System 800xA Information Manager 5.1, 6.0 through 6.0.3.2, and 6.1 allows remote attackers to execute code. The unintentionally shipped ABBTracerLib auxiliary component accepts malicious input without proper validation when a browser loads it from attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires luring a user on a host with the component installed to visit a malicious website, after which code runs on the Information Manager server and Display Services or other functions can stop or malfunction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
