Unauthenticated browser script execution via unescaped request parameters
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Metagauss RegistrationMagic 4.6.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser. The affected page-rendering paths take rm_form_id, rm_tr, and form_name from requests and return the values without validation or output encoding. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted URL or otherwise render an affected page; script then runs with that victim's WordPress session privileges.
