Authentication bypass via unsanitized HTTP parameter
Published Feb 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Unitrends Backup before 10.4.1 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via a crafted HTTP request. An HTTP request parameter reaches an SQL statement without proper sanitization, but Unitrends has not disclosed the parameter or code locus. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful injection defeats the application's login boundary.
