Hidden-directory deletion via same-name rename

Published May 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper access control in Nextcloud Team Folders 4.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete hidden directories through a crafted rename. The rename path accepts an accessible item renamed to a hidden directory's existing name and removes the hidden target without enforcing its access restrictions.
