Unauthenticated redirect via returnurl parameter
Published Apr 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in Revive Adserver <=5.0.4 allows remote attackers to redirect logged-in users via crafted admin links. The /www/admin/*-modify.php endpoints skip CSRF validation when no meaningful parameter is supplied and then honor the returnurl GET parameter, sending the browser to an attacker-chosen destination. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to follow the crafted link; the request performs no administrative action but can facilitate phishing or trust-boundary bypass.
