Browser script execution via unescaped Device Name
Published May 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Ruckus R500 firmware 3.4.2.0.384 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via Device Name. The index.asp page places the attacker-controlled Device Name value into generated HTML without neutralizing executable content. Exploitation requires a user to load the affected page; the script then runs within the appliance web interface's browser origin.
