Administrator account takeover via unvalidated password-change request
Published Jan 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Adive Framework 2.0.8 allows remote attackers to change the Administrator password via a crafted request. The admin/config handler accepts a credentialed password-change POST without validating an anti-CSRF token or request origin. An authenticated Administrator must visit the compromised user page, where stored script runs with the active session and changes the account password.
