Administrator password change via stored username script
Published Jan 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Adive Framework 2.0.8 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via userUsername. The /admin/user/add handler stores userUsername script markup, and the /admin/user page later executes it in an administrator's session. The attacker must submit a user record and await administrator review; the demonstrated script changes the administrator password.
