Stored XSS in GitLab Enterprise Edition 11.0 through 12.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted group name. The group creation flow stores a group name containing HTML event-handler markup without neutralizing it before rendering the group’s New Project interface. An authenticated attacker must create the group, and execution occurs when another user opens it and selects New Project, enabling actions in that user’s browser context.
