Sensitive-value disclosure via unredacted impact reports
Published Mar 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Puppet CD4PE before 3.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read Sensitive values in impact analysis reports. The impact-analysis report generator inserts plain-text values from changed resources or classes without redacting parameters marked Sensitive. Access requires an authenticated account able to view the generated report; the documented impact is limited to disclosure of those values.
