SQL injection in DTML or connection objects in Plone 4.0 through 5.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to issue unwanted SQL queries. The sql_quote routine insufficiently escapes user-controlled values before interpolation into DTML and Zope database connection queries. Exploitation requires a deployment using SQL through affected DTML or connection objects; default Plone and RelStorage are not affected.
