Script execution via crafted issue descriptions
Published Jan 30, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in JetBrains YouTrack 2019.2 before 2019.2.59309 allows remote attackers to execute script via an issue description. Public records identify the issue-description rendering path but do not disclose the faulty sanitization or output-encoding operation that accepts crafted content. Execution requires a user to view the crafted description, and the script runs in that user's browser context, enabling unauthorized page actions or data access.
