Unauthenticated code execution via ActiveX remote-file argument
Published Dec 28, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Remote code execution in Wowsoft PrintChaser 2.2021.804.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run code through its ActiveX module. The module accepts an attacker-controlled remote-file argument, then downloads and executes that file without validating its origin or integrity. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code on the affected Windows system.
