CVE-2020-7865Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via httpDownload input

Published Sep 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper input validation in Inoguard ExECM CoreB2B 1.1.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary files. The httpDownload function accepts an attacker-controlled file location without adequate validation, then downloads and executes the referenced file. No authentication is required, and successful execution grants control of the vulnerable Windows system; the CNA assessment records required user interaction.
